We are currently recruiting a Project Engineer (Construction) for Chevron on a contract until 30/06/2026.

The successful candidate will be in Perth for a minimum of2 weeks before transitioning to site on a 2/2 roster on Barrow Island.

The successful individual will have 5+ years' experience with construction experience.

Operational Excellence:

Provide support and leadership to achieve an Incident and Injury Free Workplace.

•Champion work place safety with a focus on prevent SIF's through visible leadership. Proactively share learnings that are related to construction.

•Ensure that the project adopts safety principles of having safe guards in place that are functioning.

Construction Management:

•The candidate will need to understand the deliverables required from engineering to drive Efficient Execution for BWI Execution.

•Work the risk mitigation plans with the Construction Engineers to ensure cost and schedule risks are managed.

•Strong communication skills are required to ensure alignment between stakeholders and to provide updates to the Construction Onsite Lead on cost, schedule and quality.

•Support the deployment of fit for purpose work processes, guidelines, policies, and standards that will ensure technical superiority, quality of the work product, effective project execution, capital stewardship and efficiency

Operations Science:

Incorporation of Operations Science principles and methods into execution plans and work processes through:

•Work with stakeholders to aid in the development of the 4D Construction Simulation

•Project System modelling (Procurement, Logistics, Imported Fill, 33kV Cable Installation, stress testing traffic management plan and other areas as identified)

•Assessment of Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) deployment and implementation if deemed suitable and beneficial to the schedule.

•Working with Pre-Ops develop the systems completion sequence fish bone early to inform path of construction (integrated with 4D construction simulation)

•Develop effective site support plans to optimize craft work time on location by identifying previous or current impacts, and designing the solution to resolve

•Use historical execution data (e.g. Gorgon Foundation, Wheatstone, Technical Projects, etc) to identify roots causes that impact effective execution and implement mitigation plans where possible

Stakeholder Engagement:

•Identification and utilization of CTC Functional or BU support to assist with implementation of effective execution where required.

•Partner with the execution contractor to manage Work Execution Control. Lead site meeting to optimise execution.

Experience:

5+ years project engineering and construction experience with medium to large capital projects in green and/or brown field work environment. Has a broad understanding of various disciplines.

Able to engage with high level stakeholders and clearly communicate project value drivers, status and risks.
