Key Specifics: Bowen Basin Mine Site;Tier 1 global resources business;FIFO / DIDO / Residential; andGenerous salary package & incentives.Job Description: The Commercial Manager serves as the primary commercial advisor to both the General Manager and the site leadership team, offering strategic counsel and oversight to enhance the commercial effectiveness of operations while mitigating commercial risks. This role also entails leading a team of professionals to deliver tailored services that meet site requirements efficiently and cost-effectively. Emphasis is placed on fostering a deep understanding of the business context within the team and cultivating their capabilities to deliver top-tier services consistently.
In addition, the role involves building, nurturing, and guiding a proficient team to deliver best practices and commercially savvy services across various commercial and operational functions. This includes providing support to operational managers in optimising both operational and capital expenditures through the provision and utilisation of business information and reporting, financial accounting systems, procurement and inventory management.
Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in a senior financial management role within the mining and resources sector; Strong understanding of mining operations, cost structures, and financial modelling; Demonstrated experience in development and control of large budgets and expenditureExperience driving continuous improvement initiatives and best practice within your department and the broader business; andTertiary qualifications in Accounting / Business discipline or similar.For more information please call Dharan Chond at u&u on 07 3232 9115, quoting reference number 35657.
