Echocardiography Clinical Educator Permanent Gr 3 Part Time Position Box Hill Hospital Support workforce development | Learn and improve everyday Eastern Health Eastern Health is one of Melbourne's largest public health services. About the role The Echocardiography Clinical Educator is responsible for the facilitation and development of education initiatives that foster a culture of clinical learning for cardiac physiologists in the areas of transthoracic echocardiography (echo), stress echo and transoesophageal echo at Eastern Health. The Echocardiography Clinical Educator is also responsible for educating reform in response to feedback arising from the echo quality assurance program.

About you To be successful in this role you will possess:

Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent

Awarded Graduate Diploma In Cardiac Ultrasound (DMU, QUT, UniSA)

At least 7 years post graduate experience in the profession of Cardiac Physiology

Extensive experience in all modalities of echocardiography

Experience in evaluation of clinical education and professional development of staff and students.

Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioning

Ongoing commitment to the professional development of Cardiac Physiology

Current accreditation with appropriate professional body (eg, ASAR)

Experience in leadership of staff with extensive knowledge and experience in providing supervision, mentoring and support to staff and students

Experience of quality improvement, research processes and commitment to achieving best practice professional clinical standards
