We are now seeking a suitably talented and experienced Cost Manager to join our renowned organisation. Job Description With over two billion dollars' worth of work in hand and a healthy pipeline of future projects ahead, our western region is experiencing an exciting period of growth. To help support this growth, we seek to bring a suitably experienced Cost Manager into our business to work on major projects within the Perth metro area .

Reporting to the Commercial Manager , you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating cost planning staff and day to day operations, supporting implementation and guiding the delivery of cost planning procedures and processes to ensure compliance and alignment with organisational, Project and Client o bjectives .

Key accountabilities for the position: Works with the Project teams to prepare and present Monthly Cost Report to stakeholders

Prepare accurate budget variance explanations and drive assessment actions ensuring that these are tracked, closed and flow into Financial Reporting

Ongoing review and investigation of unusual trends in cost codes, reviewing dockets and invoices to d etermine if cost codes are up to date and correct.

Support the development of direct reports and junior employees

Drive collaborative behaviours with Budget Owners

Ensure accurate cost inputs into Project Management decision-making by constantly monitoring budget and expenditure changes

Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor's d egree (Engineering , Commerce or related discipline )

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated planning and organising skills with the ability to organise and implement work priorities.

At least eight (8) years' experience in Project Control / Cost control.

Intermediate experience in Programming software
