As a Project Manager, you get a very broad experience of our community and will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your projects, through planning, design and delivery.

Alpine Shire Council have set out on a mission to create incredible community spaces across the stunning Alpine Shire, and we are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of Project Manager. You will have project management in the building and construction experience in the key responsibility areas. Local government project management experience would be desirable.

In your role, you will be responsible for: End-to-end project management of a portfolio of projectsProject managing a range of Capital works projects across the Alpine ShireEnsuring project milestones are met, and that delivery, performance and financial targets are achieved.Overseeing and assessing designs and specifications submitted by consultants for compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations and Council policies.Identifying synergies across projects and initiatives which can provide improved economic, environmental and social outcomes.Prepare grant submissions for projects where applicable.Provide technical and other information on projects as required including regular updates and status reports to feed into the project reporting system.Assisting in the establishment of relationships with diverse stakeholders to manage risks and resolve issues impacting project delivery, including managing sensitive negotiations.You will undertake these responsibilities in a professional, efficient and timely manner, and contribute to Council's aim of being a high performing, customer-focused organisation. You will deliver services in compliance with relevant legislation, and in a way which provides best value to Council.
