Position Description We are seeking to attract a talented candidate for a position at the Senior Executive Service (SES) Band 1 level that will contribute to ASD's mission and have relevant skills to work across specialist and corporate development roles.
ASD is currently undergoing a significant transformation - doubling in size, expanding its presence both nationally and globally, and delivering significant new and enhanced intelligence and security capabilities for Australia. As a senior leader in ASD, you will have an important role leading this change.
The Assistant Director-General Cloud is responsible for planning, building and sustaining a number of ASD's cloud platforms. You will be required to lead a Branch to deliver and sustain an enterprise grade platform to enable ASD operations at PROTECTED, and lead transformation activities to support ASD adoption of cloud technologies and interaction and alignment with classified cloud platforms. The role will also drive effective, efficient and economical operations through a rationalisation of existing ASD systems.It is highly desirable for candidates to have experience in delivering cloud or ICT transformation and successful organisational change, and managing a technology program of work with multi-disciplinary teams.
You will have responsibility for leading a Branch through ASD's current transformation, while continuing to deliver on the operational requirements of the position.You will work closely with international partners, and will manage an Australia-wide workforce.
As part of the Senior Leadership Group, you will play a key role in promoting and influencing a shared commitment to the strategic direction of ASD as the Australian Government's foreign signals intelligence, offensive cyber, and cyber security agency. You will influence the strategic direction of ASD and work with colleagues across the Defence portfolio and Government to achieve results.
