Toll Global Logistics has an opportunity for a skilled Finance Analyst to join our Government and Defence business unit on a Fixed Term 12 month Maternity leave contract. The focus will be on providing critical & value add judgment to support operational reporting, accounting & be business unit (BU) centred. Our Finance Services team remit is to be capability orientated to deliver business partnering & achieving effective value add decision making, to be readily & easily understood by the customer & adaptable for ongoing continuous improvement. This includes preparation, meaningful analysis, intrinsic understanding & presentation of reports and KPIs reflecting earnings, profits & other financial results that enable business stakeholders to make fully informed decisions on performance improvement.

As the Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for:

Monthly Profit & Loss and associated review, presentation, discussion & reporting commentary with BU Managers

Preparation and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations & lead resolution on reconciliations

Preparation & support of budget/forecast process in close consultation with Managers & stakeholders

Input into Corporate Reporting & coordinating with team members for accurate report completion

Active involvement & development in business performance management reporting including recommendations & implementation of continuous process improvement & assessment

Aiding & assisting general finance / accounting / systems and associated analysis & business decision support

Collaborating with the share service team to deliver documented accounting processes, controls and providing a continuous improvement approach.

To be successful in this role, you will need: Minimum of 5 years financial or management accounting experience

Comprehensive and broad finance accounting & management reporting experience. (Balance Sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, treasury, bank, foreign currency, inter-company accounting, P&L reporting, P&L variance analysis and project accounting)

Demonstrable strong analytical & problem-solving capability & aptitude

Mature & adaptable outlook and able to proactively embrace change & improvement

Strong communication & relationships skills including ability to develop strong business partnering

Exhibit a high level of accuracy & attention to detail

Proficient in MS suite of applications (Excel and others), finance reporting & mainstream ERP systems, such as SAP and Onestream

Able to progressively work through the development phase of the newly implemented SAP system. Identify and implement improvements to processes and system reporting.

We also value internal mobility and have multiple finance departments across our 3 divisions and there may be further opportunity to stay with Toll at the end of your contract.
