Management opportunity for a dedicated Nurse at North West Private Hospital This position is a Full-time, 9-month Maternity Leave Contract About the Role Joining the team as a Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our General Surgical Unit at North West Private Hospital.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources.

This key leadership role will see you: Apply advanced nursing practices in planning, implementing and evaluating care in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service StandardsEffectively manage roster processes and allocate duties to clinical staffWorking with and supporting other managers within the wider hospital community in achieving excellence in patient outcomesAssist in shaping organisational strategy, improve procedural service provision and achieve departmental and Hospital strategic objectives.This position is for a 9-month contract, however there may be a possibility to extend to 12-months.

Your Skills and experience You hold the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You are a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing a passion for a high level of client care and service.

You will also bring: Relevant qualifications and registration with AHPRAMinimum eight years' post graduate experienceProven knowledge as a senior nurse or managerDemonstrated experience in the surgical nursing specialty areaManagement or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regardedExperience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance managementAbility to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resourcesRemuneration A base hourly rate ranging from $65.84 - $71.24 + superannuation based on relevant experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD NUM/MUM level 1 - 4).
