Applications are invited from experienced candidates for the role of Senior Advisor, Discipline Advisory and Resolutions (previously known as Senior Advisor, Performance and Conduct).

In this role, you will provide expert professional advice and consultancy to clients to facilitate business outcomes in relation to allegations ofmisconduct and unsatisfactory performance. This includes the management of complex disciplinary processes. Excellent written communication and analytical skills are essential for the position.

About the Role Responsibilities include:

Provide high level advice and consultancy services to executive, senior managers and clients on workplace performance, conduct and discipline matters including legislation, policies, systems and practices.Prepare disciplinary 'show cause' notices and correspondence, prepare briefing materials and reports for the Minister, Director-General and other senior staff on issues related to employee relations matters.Provide support to departmental officers appearing as advocates for the department in Queensland Industrial Relations Commission proceedings or other tribunals.Participate and contribute to project teams and assist other staff in the development, implementation, review and reporting of initiatives, programs, policies and targeted plans which relate to workforce employee relations.Participate and contribute to the development and evaluation of policy and administrative procedures incorporating innovative solutions to complex employment issues.How to Apply Please attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history); andA 2-pg written statement in response to the attached role description.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.  Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
