Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role
As a Procurement Manager, you will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the procurement and contract management functions. In addition, your key duties are as follow:Working collaboratively with business areas as a procurement business partner, and managing a team to develop market approach documentation, evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts.Leadan integrated approach to identifying procurement requirements early in the process, including supporting the planning activities within the wider team.Ensureprocurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirementsDeliversupport and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rulesand Agency policies and procedures.Manageregular policy and process reviews for continuous business improvementEnsurecorporate contracts are managed effectively and deliver value for money outcomes. About you
To be successful in this role, you must have:Proven experience in a similar procurement role, ideally within a leadership capacityFederal or State Government experience is a must!Relevant qualifications in Commonwealth Procurement is highly regardedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain composed in a changing, fast paced environment Benefits12-month temporary assignmentFull-time hours, Monday to Friday$602.55 per day + superImmediate start pending clearancesGeelong VIClocation *** Please note the successful candidate for the role must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete federal police check **
