What we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a SeniorMechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane CBD team. You will ideally have strong knowledge within Material Handling and have Process Plant Front End experience. You will join an innovative and motivated engineering team who are collaborative and solutions focused!

Furthermore, DRA are aiming to build on the solid core team to lead future work across a wide range of commodities all over the world, from concept studies to detail design.

As Senior Mechanical Engineer: You will be a vital part of our team, responsible for the mechanical and materials handling design of minerals process plants. Your role will include;

Working or leading others to deliver multi-disciplinary engineering designsDevelop mechanical design deliverables, such as design calculations and equipment selection, for various applications including bulk materials handling systems, conveyors, crushers, chutes, and mechanical platework etc.Preparation of documentation to support equipment procurement and contract execution, including Scopes of Work, Specifications, Datasheets and Technical Evaluation of Tender SubmissionsReview Vendor documentation and facilitate incorporation into project designs with specific reference to ensuring constructability, operability and maintainabilityDeliver high quality technical solutions with reference to Australian and International Standards, Codes, Guidelines and industry best practiceExecute project delivery within schedule, budget and quality criteria with a strong focus on safetyPro-actively work to identify risks, both project and technical, and taking appropriate action to ensure successful project outcomesWillingness to attend site for short to medium term construction support, commissioning and/or operational support roles as requiredYour Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualification in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, or equivalentRelevant knowledge and experience in mining/mineral processing in a design and construct environmentStrong technical knowledge of Materials Handling and process plant front end experience - EssentialUnderstanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standardsInnovative and flexible approach to problem solving, an ability to analyse and resolve complex issuesStrong focus on delivering high-quality results and strategic work planning.Experience with base metals and rare earth minerals is highly advantageousWell-developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey mechanical engineering outcomes with clients, stakeholders and other disciplines as required.Valid Rights to work in Australia - EssentialWe value the diverse perspectives that each of our team members brings to DRA.
