Civil Site Engineer (Structures) SEC01 or SEC02 (B02) - BNE GenInteresting Projects to challenge your skillsCollaborative Team EnvironmentCould lead into other larger projects Interesting Projects to challenge your skillsCollaborative Team EnvironmentCould lead into other larger projectsWe are regularly tendering for works in Brisbane & greater QLD and are seeking expressions of interest from Civil Site Engineers SEC01 / SEC02 (B02) with structures experience, interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of 1 - 2 years for Road / Highway Upgrade Programs with the possibility of ongoing extensions and/or other projects.

The Civil Site Engineer (Structures) role will assist with the contract administration of road construction works and contributes to, or provides, a range of professional services to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects to time, cost and quality criteria, under supervision of the Project Manager/Contracts Administration Manager.

The Site Engineer (Structures) also assists in the development and implementation of new projects, including managing construction of projects and provides advice to the Project/Contract Manager on project related issues and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the effective management of infrastructure projects in accordance with designated time, cost and quality objectives;

• Monitor and report on progress, foreseeing problems and implementing corrective action to maintain objectives;

• Maintain project quality standards in consultation with clients, and monitor the quality of project inputs;

• Assist with project budgets, cash flows and funding arrangements;

• Assist with project and resource scheduling;

• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, free from discrimination and harassment by working in accordance with legislative requirements, the Code of Conduct and departmental human resource policies, including the Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

• The Site Engineer (Structures) may be required to act as Administrator's representative.

Mandatory Experience

• Road and transport infrastructure construction experience.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of AS2124 General Conditions of Contract and Transport and Main Roads' policies, standards, and specifications;

• Experience in the delivery of civil engineering projects, including associated structures and bridges;

• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of structures, bridge design, construction, maintenance and materials;

• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, including the ability to establish good working relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels, and deal with situations requiring consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution;

• Proven commitment to the principles and practice of:

o Ethical conduct, Equity and Diversity, and Workplace Health and Safety;

o Customer Service;

o Quality management and client oriented service; and

o Risk management.

Have a current Class C driver's licence.

The roles are generally in the Brisbane &/or greater QLD region which will be discussed prior to engagement.

It is envisaged that the hours will be nominally 40 hrs p/week (5-day week, approximately 8 hrs p/day, however this could vary with each role pending project requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust).

• Possession of an RPEQ Registration of distinct advantage.
