Role An internal promotion has created an opportunity at Kaplan Business School for the recruitment of a new Academic Head for our Strategy, Operations and Health discipline which also includes subjects, specialisations and courses in marketing, tourism, entrepreneurship and project management.

Reporting to the discipline's Academic Director and working alongside another Academic Head, this is a highly administrative position without direct reports but with day-to-day tasks that include the recruitment and scheduling of faculty, the supervision of subject coordinators, the oversight of curriculum development, the monitoring of student performance, the proactive implementation of interventions and much more.

Our ideal candidate is an early career academic who is passionate about teaching excellence and is keen to step up into a management role at an institute of higher education with very high levels of faculty engagement and a vibrant alumni community.

Responsibilities Ensure the quality, relevance and currency of the discipline's subjects Recruit, coach and engage a diverse and dispersed faculty Proactively address metrics of success such as progression and attrition Implement interventions to protect student welfare and enrich their satisfaction Requirements Master's degree in a relevant discipline Experience as a teacher and subject coordinator in a higher education context Credible experience as an industry practitioner Member of a professional association of relevance to the discipline Kaplan Business School At Kaplan Business School, we are one of only nine self-accrediting institutes of higher education.
