Friendly and supportive team environmentBest practice implementationAbout the Role: This is a Fixed Term Part Time position for 8 months, at 32 hours per fortnight within the RCH Simulation Team. The position will, however, continue into the new RCH Simulation Grant as it merges with the RCH Education Hub Grant in 2025.
Responsibilities include: You will be responsible for promotingthe delivery of Simulationtraining across the Melbourne Children's campus.You will collaboratewith the simulation team to promote, develop, coordinate, facilitate, enable, and evaluate the delivery of inter-professional Paediatric Deteriorating Patient and Communication Simulation Programs for Medical, Nursing, Allied Health healthcare workers, and non-clinical staff across the Melbourne Children's Campus, in addition to external stakeholders at healthcare centres delivering care to children across Victoria.What you'll achieve: Promote the use of simulation as an educational tool for health professionalsAssist in the development and facilitation of interprofessional education through simulation trainingCoordinate and support major phases of simulation trainingprogramsDemonstrate an understanding of the accreditation process and work towards improving standardClassification for this position will be ZA7-ZA8(base salary$119,324per annum, plus superannuation)

About Simulation: The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Simulation Program is an educational initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge, communication and teamwork. The program caters to a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, allied health practitioners, and support staff.
The program utilises simulation-based training methods to provide a realistic and immersive learning environment for healthcare providers and offers a wide range of simulation activities, including high-fidelity communication and deteriorating patient simulations, procedural skills training, and team training to facilitate expert clinicians to work within high functioning teams.
