Role Definition As a Credit Analyst on a 12 Month Based Fixed Contract you will evaluate loan requests by reviewing applicants' credit histories and analysing financial statements in order to approve or deny loan applications .

Some of the key responsibilities will include; Reviews the credit history, profitability and liquidity of clients to assess the risk level involved in credit extension or money lending.

Consults with customers to verify financial and credit transactions; responds to cust omer inquiries and resolves customer complaints.

Communicates with credit associations and other relevant authorities about the credit history of customers.

Analyses financial data to determine customers' risk profile for commercial loans; recommends appro val or denial of loan applications.

Key Skills, Abilities and Knowledge required; Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques, ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellence service in a direct or indirect manner

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy, ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis, ability to determine the root cause of organisational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours

Credit Analysis and Verification: Knowledge of credit analysis and verification; ability to utilize tools and techniques to determine the cred it - worthiness of an applicant

Financial Statement Analysis: Knowledge of financial statement and balance sheet; ability to analyse financial statement data and determine the credit - worthiness of a business enterprise

Loan Origination: Knowledge of the skills, methods and te chnologies used to process new loan applications; ability to perform loan origination activities while adhering to established policies and procedures

Education/Experience: A university degree or equivalent experience desired
