We are looking for a talented and experienced Head of Sales/Commercial to lead our sales department. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in Sales and Marketing. In this position, your duties will include motivating our sales team, designing strategic sales plans, and assessing costs and competition. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Takes personal ownership of safety and promotes a safe working environment and best operating practices for the sales team through Visible Leadership.
- Drives Company’s vision and mission and devise business strategy for sustained fast growth to maintain the market leadership position.
- Develop and implement sales strategies that deliver business unit growth, price, revenue, and margin goals.
- Develop and direct execution of optimum competitive strategy.
- Develop business plans, product, and service offerings to support business growth.
- Ensures Revenue and DSO targets are met.
- Responsible for gross profit improvement through existing accounts and by securing new business.
- Analyzes regional portfolio with the sales managers to identify and prioritize opportunities to maximize sales revenue and profits.
- Develop and maintain annual plan, sales & costing budgets, and CAPEX.
- Assigns performance targets to regional teams and monitor progress on regular basis.
- Drive the value of “Customer Focus” by strengthening business relationships with existing customers while expanding footprints in new geographies.
- Act as the escalation point to address and resolve any issues, questions, problems or opportunities that may arise during the customer relationship.
- Ensure regional sales team and account managers build multi-level relationships with all major and important accounts and customers.
- Build, coach, drive and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting and reviewing the team’s performance against KPIs and provide necessary tools and support for result delivery.
- Creates high performance culture using performance management & capability development programs.
- Identify the skill gaps within team and enhance their skill level by “on-job” coaching and specialized training programs.
- Bachelor / Master degree in Sales / Marketing preferably with Engineering background.
- At least 8 – 10 years of B2B sales experience or relevant industry experience of heading a sales management / cross functional team.
- In-depth knowledge of Sales/Marketing techniques and best practices.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
