We are seeking a highly motivated medical scientist (blood transfusion) to join our dynamic team in the pathology department. About the role:

• Play a key role in ensuring the provision of an efficient and effective blood transfusion service for our patients.
• Perform a variety of blood transfusion-related laboratory tests, adhering to strict protocols and quality control measures.
• Assist in the processing and reporting of blood samples, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff and medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of quality management programmes within the blood transfusion department.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in blood transfusion practices and procedures.

What you will bring:

• Honours degree in Biomedical Science or a recognised equivalent qualification.
• CORU registration or eligibility for membership upon completion of studies.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a blood transfusion laboratory setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to providing exceptional patient care and adhering to the highest safety standards.
