Job OverviewWe are currently looking for young & motivated individual to lead our background screening process globally, for the new hires and existing employees, globally. This role will be primarily for India that requires co-ordination with multiple BGC vendors, business divisions, candidates/employees for getting the verification done, as per the background check policy of the company and/or that of the requirements of the customers of Birlasoft.Job TitleSpecialist - BGV Location : Noida Educational Background: Minimum Graduate in any discipline, Masters in HR will be preferred.Key Responsibilities Should be able to handle Background check processes globally for multiple countries, especially India & Americas (if required).Maintain effective record keeping for all background checks being conducted, tracking the end-to-end process from initiation to completion and post completion activities like resource onboarding.Ensure background verification is initiated through appointed vendor, as applicable as per the company policy guidelines.End to End BGV knowledge and expertise in managing BGC under different circumstances, categories, packages and also for specific businesses, customers etc.Ensure all verifications initiated are followed up with the vendor in a timely manner and closed within SLA.Ensuring that the appropriate background check(s) are conducted on the candidate/employee as outlined in the policy or customer MSAs as applicable.Deciding whether the candidate is eligible to hire or not basis the BGC status of the candidate and share the same with the Joining team and Recruitment.Ensuring all the BGC reports for completed candidates/employees is available in the database repository in electronic form and hard copy in personnel files.Reviewing any dispute submitted by a final candidate challenging the accuracy of information contained in the background check. & seeking waivers as and when required.Keeping track of incomplete / non-green background check reports and closure of the deviations as per the policy of the company. Sharing the status of BGC with recruiters, business managers and other internal stakeholders regularly and on need basis. Audits: Interfacing with auditors (internal, external, client) and ensuring that all audits related to BGC is completed within the timeline by providing BGC reports, evidence, clarifications. Also maintaining tracker for all post audits follow up actions, actions plans and completing them on time.Successful track record of managing Background check vendors to track their performance, SLA monitoring, and overall performance of vendors.Must ensure that vendors performance is up to the standards and within agreed SLA's. Bringing Continuous improvement in BGC process by understanding the market dynamics, evolving and adopting new technological improvements in the industry, designing systems and processes in the changing environment etc.Managing the budget and cost of background check processProcessing of BGC vendor payments as per agreementsCross Audit of Vendor Performance and accuracyAct as a single point of contact for 'Audit and compliance' for BGC and provide evidence when asked by the auditors.Co-coordinating with the clients building and maintaining client relationship and providing efficient and quality service delivery.MIS reporting to the clients and the Management on regular basis aiding decision making .Responsible for ensuring timely payments to vendor. Qualification The ideal candidate will have at least 5-8 years' experience of handling BGC process globally for multiple countries in any mid-size/large corporate office OR BGC agency . PRB
