Absolutely!What you'll learn & achieve:The Software Business Analyst works with multiple stakeholders to elicit requirements and create business analysis artefacts (epic, features, user stories). Works with development teams to ensure development meets the requirements and contributes to delivering world class digital products.Provides mentoring and guidance to Associate analysts on specific elements of their role on an ad hoc basis.Educates cross functional teams on business analysis principles and practices where required"With minimal guidance, will define requirements for medium to large features for medium to large sized businesschange. Creates requirement documentation through the use of Epics, Features and User Stories. Creates postdevelopment documentation.Involvement in peer reviewing project artefacts from the BA communityEffectively communicate and collaborate within the department and with stakeholders across the organization byproactively driving requirements definition activities, escalating issues and removing blockers as needed.Work with cross-functional teams to identify solutions to requirements. Ensures that the designed solution meetsrequirementsWork with QA to ensure requirements are fully understood and testing reflects the requirements. May developacceptance criteria. Helps to identify and resolve software issues. May on occasion act as stand in QAEstimates effort of Business Analysis tasks and provides status of progress to appropriate members of themanagement teamUnderstands scrum and agile development methodologies. Delivers business analysis artefacts within theseframeworksWorks with cross functional teams and stakeholders to ensure these agile processes and ceremonies are maintained"Understands the part UX/UI design has to play in Development and seeks UX/UI input where requiredProvide significant business knowledge to a development team based around specific business areasAble to work with multiple stakeholders and POs across different business areas to identify requirements, manageissues, set expectations etc.Understand and comply with applicable regulations and all company processes as outlined in Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs).Solves problems; seeks guidance to understand a broader perspective to identify solutionsRead and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practicesOther duties as assignedWhat makes you a great fit:Educated to degree level and/or 2+ years of equivalent commercial experienceGenerally 2 Years or more of related experience or demonstrated competencyThorough understanding of at least one development process (preferably scrum / agile), based on previous workexperience. Familiarity with a range of development processes including lean agile, scrum, kanban, waterfall etc.Sound working knowledge in a growing number of analysis tools and techniques, *including process flow diagrams, *sequence flow diagrams, *business process models, *use cases, data dictionaries, *weighted scorecards, *MoSCoW, *discovery sessions, *requirements review and *user stories (* must haves)Is able to identify where appropriate techniques should be used to the benefit of ongoing projects with minimal support."Awareness and knowledge of one or more Business Analysis methodologies such as BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation), Six Sigma, Agile Business Analysis. Experience in utilizing elements of one or moremethodologies desirableAble to facilitate workshops related to ongoing projectsHas significant business knowledge across one more industries or domains.Has previous experience in working with 3rd party suppliers and/or customers. Can work with such partners requiring minimal support and guidance.Ability to clearly communicate and write from a process orientated point of viewAbility to work effectively with others in a cross functional team, in addition to product owners and stakeholders.Demonstrates an aptitude to self-learn and appetite to share knowledge with Business Analysis colleagues and across multi-functional teamsAbility to handle multiple ongoing tasks on relative complexity within an individual projectShows ability to self-start and self-manage, with minimal guidance and mentoring from more senior team membersAbility to think critically and uses a fact-based data driven approach to solve more complex problems.Ability to form strong relationships with colleagues across multi-functional teams and at more senior levels.Demonstrates the ability to compromise and can resolve conflict and be flexible in approach with minimal guidance.Experience in working with remote team in different time zones is a plus.Working in an Agile environment is advantage.What you'll experience working at UL:Mission: For UL, corporate and social responsibility isn't new.
