Role & Responsibility As the Head of Manufacturing Legal, you will lead the legal function within the manufacturing division of the company, providing strategic legal guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulations, mitigate risks, and protect the interests of the organization. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as manufacturing operations, supply chain, quality assurance, and external partners including regulatory agencies, vendors, and legal counsel to address legal challenges and facilitate the efficient operation of manufacturing activities.Responsibilities: Lead and manage the manufacturing legal team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.Should have extensive experience in IR related matters. Handled criminal cases and union related matters.3. Develop and implement legal strategies and policies to support manufacturing operations, including contract negotiation, risk management, compliance, and dispute resolution.4. Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of manufacturing-related agreements, including supply agreements, vendor contracts, manufacturing services agreements, and confidentiality agreements.5. Advise on regulatory compliance matters related to manufacturing processes, product safety, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety standards.6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess legal risks associated with manufacturing activities, product development, and supply chain operations, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate risks.7. Manage and oversee product liability claims, recalls, and other legal disputes related to manufacturing defects or product failures, working closely with internal teams and external counsel as needed.8. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting manufacturing operations, and communicate changes and potential impacts to stakeholders.9. Conduct due diligence reviews on potential mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures involving manufacturing facilities or assets, assessing legal risks and liabilities.10. Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and settlements with regulatory agencies, vendors, and other external parties, advocating for the company's interests while maintaining positive relationships. Qualifications:1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.2. Minimum of (15-20) years of experience practicing law with a focus on manufacturing, corporate law, or commercial transactions, preferably within the manufacturing industry.3. Strong understanding of IR issues, manufacturing operations, supply chain management, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.4. Extensive travel to manufacturing facilities.5. Proven experience in negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain relationships.6. Familiarity with intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, as they relate to manufacturing processes and products.7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal risks and develop pragmatic solutions to complex issues.8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.10. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing legal teams and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.11. Sound judgment, integrity, and ethical conduct in dealing with confidential information and sensitive matters. PRB
