About the company:Sea6 Energy is a company working on the development of large-scale cultivation of seaweed using floating farms, and manufacturing of seaweed-based products for applications primarily in Agriculture, with the aim of further venturing into several other value-added products with applications in Animal Feed, Food Additives, and Renewable Plastics. The company is looking to hire an Embedded Systems Engineer based out of Bangalore who has the passion for innovation and has the commitment to apply his/her engineering skills to a variety of problems at hand.You primarily be involved in providing engineering solutions for the problems faced in the field of large-scale seaweed cultivation.Sea6 was founded in 2010 at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and comprises of a multidisciplinary and highly talented team of engineers and scientists. We strive to create Disruptive solutions for a Sustainable planet - and are looking for people who share the passion for innovation and sustainability in a field with the potential to revolutionize Ocean Agriculture.Responsibilities-Implement various electrical and electronics product development.Hardware assembly, testing and maintenance.Software development in microcontroller-based systems including but not limited to raspberry pi and Arduino systems.Oversee manufacturing, and installation of equipment/components to fulfill requirements.Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs.Collaborating with project managers and other engineers in the company.Responsible for procuring, assembling, and testing components/sub-systems.Must be willing to travel based on job requirements.Qualification and skills-Bachelors degree in electrical/electronics engineering.5+ years' experience in design, development, assembly, programming and testing embedded systems.Good skills in soldering, wiring, and testing of electrical/electronics systems.Basic knowledge in mechanical assembly and fitting of electrical components.A highly analytical mind, with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Programming in C/Python and microcontrollers.Good communication skills in English.Ability to coordinate with vendors to implement projects.Strong knowledge of PCB design and development using relevant software.Passion for innovation, eagerness to tackle challenges, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
