Merchandiser Job DescriptionRoleCreation of the Departmental strategy and implementation of the Divisional strategy by delivering a product offer that exceed customers' expectations and achieves sales and profit targets through effective supply chain management Inventory/Commitment ManagementManage the intake of stock in line with agreed stock levels (fabric trims etc)Plan availability schedule for new and continuity productExploit use of ratio packs, identifying methods of replenishment which are more cost effectiveManage the development of new stock packageMonitor and manage the availability of stock:o by ensuring planned launch and replenishment dates are met and sales and stock are potentialised through production planningo managing the allocation of stock from supplierso managing in-store stock levels to optimise distribution Supplier ManagementBuild and maintain effective working relationships with suppliersAnalyse Suppliers' delivery performance and, in conjunction with the Buyer, take appropriate actionsContribute to future supplier strategiesMeasure products' performance against agreed quality standards and take necessary action with suppliersNegotiate and manage the recovery of supplier contributionQualificationsBachelor's Degree or above;More than 3 years of experience in logistics.Deep understanding of the industry and have resources of logistics service providers;Excellent leadership, influencing, organisation, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
