As part of our Supply Chain Department, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager of Procurement to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a background in procurement within the QSR, retail, or FMCG industries, with expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Strategy: Procure raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) such as poultry, dairy, oil, and packaging materials. Manage inflation rates according to forecasted trends and market conditions.Supplier Management: Ensure best negotiation practices are followed to achieve optimal pricing and terms. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing vendors. Introduce new vendors for key categories like poultry, packaging, dairy, and oil. Develop a robust supplier base to ensure business continuity.Quality Assurance: Ensure all supplies meet agreed-upon quality parameters and standards. Monitor and address any issues related to product quality or compliance.Strategic Initiatives: Forecast abnormal spikes in inflation and identify opportunities for cost savings. Implement category management and strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes.Qualifications and Skills:degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.years of experience in procurement within the QSR, retail, or FMCG industries.in SAP and master data management.with the complete procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle and procurement compliance.to robotic process automation (RPA), e-sourcing tools, and cataloging tools.knowledge of spend analytics, taxation, contract management, food safety, and product costing.
