Principal Engineer - (100% remote role) salary up to £85k OCHO is partnering with an extremely stable and secure enterprise software house that have grown to well over 100 employees in NI in the past few years . The Role The successful candidate will be in charge of creating and enhancing tools, libraries, and frameworks to make life easier for our clients customers' developers. As a part of our clients dynamic and thrilling development center, you'll dive into a wide range of languages, frameworks, libraries, and services to boost the efficiency of developers who are integrating with our client . This role involves working on various projects in different scenarios, whether it's a one-person team or a larger group. Our clients work atmosphere empowers software engineers, allowing them to concentrate on tackling technical challenges instead of dealing with red tape or ineffective procedures. The role will also include ; Understanding partner needs, improve integration with innovative tools, collaborate cross-functionally, enhance documentation, engage in developer discussions, and support complex integrations. Participating in developer community discussions across Slack and GitHub partner and integrator communities. Collaborate with Marketing to create articles and developer marketing content promoting our clients developer ecosystem. Partner with our clients Sales Engineering and Integrations team to support complex integrations. Ideal candidate Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Extensive experience in server-side product development, including API and SDK implementation. Proficiency in various object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, C#, Ruby, Go) with a willingness to learn new languages and frameworks. In-depth knowledge of Design Patterns, Refactoring, OO Design, and related concepts. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and system integration. Strong empathy for developers and a commitment to enhancing their experience. Ability to work independently across diverse projects, from solo efforts to team collaborations. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Leadership qualities with an understanding of emerging technologies. Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure. Comfortable with ambiguity, skilled in resolving uncertainty, and adaptable in finding solutions. Effective communication, both with high-level management and as a team player. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Payments.
