You'll work closely with the CXOs and head a dedicated legal team that's responsible for responding to high priority, complex and, sometimes, sensitive topics. But who doesn't love a good challenge?Legal Strategy and Guidance:Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.Provide proactive legal advice and guidance to the executive team, and business unit heads.Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations and industries.Legal and Regulatory Compliance:Ensure the organization's compliance with evolving IT-related laws and industry standards.Stay updated on evolving data protection regulations and recommend necessary actions to maintain compliance.Providing time-sensitive support on a wide array of legal inquiries concerning all aspects of your country's operations.Way of Working:Keep technology at the forefront of all internal and external solutioning foundations.Ability to say no to short term gains that harm long term vision, with a strong rationale.Empower company's global contract law through standardization, automation and tooling.Contract Management:Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, and partnership agreements.Prioritize automation for efficient and streamlined operations surrounding contract negotiation and processes.Litigation and Dispute Resolution:Serve as lead counsel on strategic deals, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiriesDevelop and execute legal strategies to resolve disputes efficiently.Intellectual Property (IP) Protection:Protect and manage the organization's IT-related intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.Enforce IP rights and defend against infringement claims.Team Management: Manage the legal department's budget and allocate resources effectively.Recruit, train, mentor and manage a team of legal professionals.What You'll NeedProven leadership experience in IT legal and compliance roles, with 9 - 12 years of relevant legal practice.A master's degree or equivalent in law with great academic and law firm credentialsTo keep your composure under pressureA passionate and collaborative mindset while also being hands-onConfidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete informationThe ability to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround timesExceptional stakeholder management and communication skillsTo thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment PRB
