Assistant Manager, Market Intelligence

Job Summary:As a Market Intelligence Assistant Manager in our Commodity Procurement team, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our chemical portfolio. Your responsibilities will include leading the procurement strategy, conducting market and data analysis, and providing actionable insights to drive our raw material purchasing decisions.Key Responsibilities:Portfolio Ownership: Manage and oversee a portfolio of assigned chemicals.Procurement Leadership: Lead the buying initiative, influencing stakeholders, and executing raw material procurement strategies.Tender Management: Conduct tenders efficiently using SAP Ariba.Market Analysis: Lead market and data analysis efforts for raw material commodities, collaborating with category procurement teams.Market Intelligence: Focus on short to medium-term market intelligence, including global supply and demand dynamics, market recaps, and weekly updates for key commodities.Data Analysis: Create and interpret complex data models, providing short, medium, and long-term perspectives.Customized Analysis: Develop and maintain customized market and data analysis models for key commodities, ensuring clear communication of complex insights to stakeholders.Ad-hoc Support: Assist with any other ad-hoc activities as assigned by the reporting manager.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field from a reputable university.3-5 years of proven experience in commodity market analysis.Specific Knowledge/Skills:Strong market analysis experience in commodities.Procurement or trading experience is a plus.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau, Python, or Power BI.Track record of building market analysis models from raw data.Ability to handle large datasets and extract actionable insights.Strategic thinking to support the company's long-term goals.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Adaptability to different cultures and work environments.Strong ethical standards and compliance awareness.Proficiency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in a second language (e.g., Bahasa Indonesian or Chinese) is advantageous.Travel may be required (up to 10%) under normal circumstances.Join our dynamic team and make an impact in the world of commodity procurement with your analytical expertise.
