You will be reporting to a Staff SDE in your business unit , to ensure quality of our releases using your automation and manual quality assurance skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan/Strategize/Develop and ExecuteYour should review test plans and test cases.Understand product code base, ensure testability of product code, review product code and device test cases that might expose functional, performance or security issues in the productRequirement AnalysisAs your team's quality assurance engineer you should ensure effective participation in sprint grooming and planning meetings. You should understand the persona for which you are testing the user story, understand the value proposition for our customers, and ask relevant questions to your product owner. Analyze the impact of your story on user journeys, other functional modules and then your automation testing suites. Critically review prototypes and visual designs. Raise questions on user experience, information architecture and non functional aspects.Define the complexity of your story in alignment with your squad developers and estimate your story by breaking QA tasks into measurable sub tasks.AutomationBuild strong programming skills, to read and understand CareStack's code base. Device test cases, to ensure better coverage from the aspects of security, performance and edge cases.Efficient review of MRs submitted for API automation and performance testing.Team PlayerYou should proactively communicate to resolve dependencies within and outside the team. You should build the ability to preempt conflicts within the team, and resolve them if required. As a knowledge giver, you should foster a culture of learning and sharing knowledge within and across squads. You should engage in conversations that are objective and data driven. Strive and push your team in this direction.Understand organizations culture code and streamline conversations and activities that will further instil this code. Mentor and coach new additions to your team.Process Definition/adherenceYou should review test case preparation and execution estimates. Enforce process adherence within your squad/team. Deviations should be highlighted in scrum meetings, action items should be defined and executed. Drive root cause analysis for process deviations, triage tickets, defect leakage/density within your team. Follow standard practices for RCA.
