Fund Manager - Indian Equity

JOB DESCRIPTIONJob PurposeThe Fund Manager/ Principal Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the investment portfolios under the Portfolio Management Services (PMS) space. The primary goal is to make informed investment decisions to achieve optimal returns for our clients, while adhering to the regulatory framework set by SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India). Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional ResponsibilitiesInvestment Strategy Development: Formulate and execute investment strategies for PMS, based on thorough market analysis and trends. Conduct detailed research to stay abreast of market developments, economic trends, and other factors that could impact investment decisions.Portfolio Management: Actively manage the investment portfolios, ensuring they align with the clients' risk profiles and investment objectives.Lead the team of research analysts, cover specific industries analyzing companies' fundamentals, making projections for future fundamentals, and valuing the stock. Complete focus on discipline and quality control: timely, thorough, thoughtful, and of a caliber that meets / exceeds internal and external standards. Risk Management & Compliance: Monitor and manage the risks associated with portfolio investments, implementing strategies to mitigate potential losses.: Ensure all investment activities comply with SEBI regulations and internal policies. Prepare and present regular performance reports to stakeholders.Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and expert advice on their investments.Job RequirementsQualificationsMaster's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.Certification in Financial Markets or Portfolio Management.Registration with SEBI as a Fund Manager.ExperienceMinimum of 8-12 years of experience in fund management and equity research, with a focus on PMS.Proven track record of equity research across multiple sectors and portfolio construction and investment strategy implementation.Strong understanding of the Indian financial market and regulatory environment.Functional Competencies Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and economic trends.Strategic Planning: Proficiency in developing and executing investment strategies that align with client objectives.Lead the research team with a focus on discipline and quality, timely maintenance of updated research and financial models of the universe. Work with sell-side for research inputs, corporate access. Build relationships with investee companies.
