The Saskatchewan Broomball Association (SBA) is the volunteer based Provincial Sport Governing Body authorized to operate Broomball programs in the Province of Saskatchewan and is a proud member of Broomball Canada. The Saskatchewan Broomball Association is currently inviting applications for the position of Executive Director. This is a full-time position based in Regina.
The Executive Director provides leadership and management to the programs of the SBA within the context of the strategic plan. This position reports directly to the President of the Board of Directors and is accountable for the development and optimization of the association and the resources engaged in program delivery.
The position will include working with volunteers and Committees to ensure effective delivery and implementation of existing core broomball programs. The primary focus of this position will be to ensure that the SBA enhances the delivery strategy to its members in an effort to foster the growth and development of all its members.
The candidate should possess a Kinesiology degree with focus in Sport or Recreation Administration or an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education. The candidate will also be a self starter, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to effectively handle numerous tasks with tight deadlines. Strong computer literacy, the ability to work with/lead volunteers and a basic knowledge of the sport of Broomball would be an asset, but not necessary.
The candidate will also have an understanding of the sport delivery system within Saskatchewan and will possess the skills to create and maintain strong relationships with the various partners of the SBA including its Aboriginal and Northern Saskatchewan members.
Annual Salary will be between $40,000 - $42,000. Salary negotiations will are based on the applicant's experience and in accordance with SBA policy.
