Blueberry School is located in a picturesque rural setting only minutes west of Stony Plain, Alberta. This school is surrounded by many acreage subdivisions and the Village of Spring Lake which allows students a unique learning environment. Blueberry offers a spacious, well-maintained building including unique features such as two gyms and spacious multi-use areas.

Focal areas for all work at Blueberry School revolve around creating a safe and caring environment, excellence in curricular and extracurricular areas and expectations of quality learning.Academic success is a priority at Blueberry School, as are the skills and processes that will make our students successful in high school and beyond.

Blueberry School is home to approximately 585 students from Kindergarten to Grade Nine and is founded on a culture of teamwork, which is manifested in collaboration between parents, staff and students. Primary Responsibilities:Provide instructional leadership to our teaching teams to support the continued development of engaging learning environments for students, which includes effective assessment practices and activities that support student growth in Citizenship and Social Responsibility.

Collaborate with staff, parents, students and administrative teams from Parkland School Division to plan for the delivery of quality programs that are responsive to our students.

Manage and organize school routines and procedures that ensure a safe and caring school community.

Demonstrate creative, visionary leadership that assists our school community to provide meaningful, relevant educational opportunities.

Qualifications:

As the successful candidate,you are a creative, energetic and passionate leader with a Masters Degree in Education (or other related degree), valid Alberta teacher certification and Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) Certification (achieved, in progress, or willing to complete in the required timeline).You have previous administrative experience, and a history of ongoing professional and personal development to support an instructional leadership role.

Ability to be a collaborative member of a strong Division leadership team.
