Key responsibilities:Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including proper use of equipment, handling of hazardous materials, and adherence to safety regulationsDirectly supervise plant operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure smooth operationsMonitor production processes to ensure optimal efficiency and output, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks that may ariseOversee quality control procedures to ensure that the coal meets specified standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessaryCoordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repairs of plant equipment to minimize downtime and maximize reliabilityMaintain accurate records of production, safety incidents, equipment maintenance, and other relevant data, preparing reports for management as requiredFoster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating and empowering team members to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of safety and qualityTroubleshoot operational issues as they arise, implementing solutions quickly to minimize disruptions to productionMaintain open lines of communication with other shift supervisors, management, and support staff to ensure effective coordination and problem-solving across shiftsIdentify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements, implementing changes and best practices to drive continuous improvement Minimum requirements:Grade 12Basic Coal Preparation Certificate Compulsory5 years experience on a Coal Washing PlantAble to work shift as required by the employerWilling to work overtimeAble to read and write in EnglishGood understanding of safety standards and procedures
