Key Responsibilities:Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, assembly, and installation of metal componentsFabricate and assemble metal structures, including boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and piping systems, using hand tools, welding equipment, and machineryCut, shape, and weld metal pieces to precise measurements and specifications, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standardsInstall and align fabricated components according to layout plans, equipment manuals, and engineering drawingsConduct inspections and tests of welded joints and metal structures to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and codesRepair or replace damaged or worn parts of boilers, tanks, and other equipment to maintain optimal performance and safetyPerform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to prevent equipment breakdowns and prolong service lifeCollaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other tradespeople to plan and execute construction and maintenance projects effectivelyAdhere to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the implementation of lockout/tagout proceduresMaintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance activitiesQualifications:Grade 12Qualified Boilermaker (Red Seal - Compulsory)5 years experience as a Boilermaker on a process plantGood communication skills (read and write)Good understanding of Safety Standards and ProceduresWilling to work overtimeOwn reliable transport
