Summary:The incumbent will be responsible for managing electrical and instrumentation maintenance and support general plant maintenance and optimization by initiating equipment improvements and providing engineering support to a multi-disciplined maintenance team.Requirements:Btech / B.Eng. (Electrical) + Government Certificate of CompetencyMin 2 years FMCG maintenance engineering experience covering all engineering disciplines (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation/Civil 0Knowledge of OHS Act, Hazardous Chemicals, National Environmental LegislationExpert knowledge of all major plant equipmentDuties:Manage and improve plant safety by ensuring compliance to legislationAssessment of risk involved in conducting various jobs and activities. In particular, planning and communicating jobs which entail work on high risk areas (high pressure super heated steam, sulphuric acid, anhydrous ammonia, chlorine gas, phosphoric acid, nitric acid)Ensure accurate drawings and documentation are updated with all projects and modificationsConduct HAZOP study & participate in HACCP studyInterfacing of projects/modifications with productionManage change and modificationsLead project/modification commissioning when requiredEnsure plant personnel is trained to operate new process/equipment and that SOPs are providedComply with ModProp processIdentify recurring troublesome equipment/problems and propose and implement alterations/modifications where agreed.-Assist maintenance to resolve breakdowns timeously
