This Category Management Assistant role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in category management and contribute to the success of product categories. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of category strategies to drive growth and profitability.Key Responsibilities: Stock Pipeline Ownership:Assist in managing replenishment orders, including monitoring months of cover, forecasting, and ensuring accuracy.Support the introduction of new items, providing order instructions, and maintaining standardized templates.Assist in placing orders on the system and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.Notify Key Account Managers of new arrivals and facilitate product distribution.Key Account Manager Function Assistance:Assist in processing purchase orders for various accounts and managing logistics.Coordinate with retailers to ensure seamless order processing and logistics managementChina Interaction:Participate in weekly update meetings with China.Assist in tracking deliveries, providing updates on shipping schedules, and notifying the team of any delays.Help in managing QC inspection reports and updating China warehouse stock information.Coordinate sample follow-up and handle courier/airfreight arrangements.Reporting Support:Assist in generating monthly reports on sales, gross profit (GP), stock position, customer performance, and year-to-date (YTD) position.System Accuracy:Ensure accuracy across various systems, including wholesale prices, recommended retail prices (RRPs), images, forecasts, and specifications.New Item Procedures:Support the listing of new items, including barcode assignment and adherence to naming standards.Catalogue Ownership:Support in maintaining up-to-date presentations and ensuring accuracy.Assist in updating the EOL/clearance catalogue and ensuring monthly publication.Help in maintaining item accuracy, including images, prices, specifications, and data.Assist in managing image ownership, ensuring easy access to an organised image library.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.Previous experience in category management, retail merchandising, or related roles is a plus.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Familiarity with inventory management software and retail analytics platforms is an advantage.IMPORTANT NOTICEBy applying to this advert you hereby acknowledge that you have read and accept the following Protection of Personal Information ACT (POPIA) disclaimer:I hereby consent for Talented Recruitment to process my personal information as part of the recruitment process.
