Dispatch Shift Supervisor Roodepoort

The responsibilities for the position would be focused on the supervision of and control over the work activities on a shift under your supervision. It will include the following:Supervising daily work flow and ensuring that all required daily activities are completedHandling Stock control including Daily Cycle Counts and Stock TakesCompletion of Daily, Weekly & Monthly ReportsOverseeing the maintenance and utilisation of delivery vehicles whilst on shiftControlling and managing all warehouse and distribution costs related to his shift responsibilitiesEnsuring accurate receipting, picking, checking and dispatching of inventorySupervising daily activities of reporting staff including handling the disciplining and development of staff Handling investigations and resolving work problemsMaintaining Warehouse Management controls dailyImplementing and Managing Health and Safety processes and proceduresCompleting of ad hoc duties as required by the ManagerTo be considered for the position you will have to meet the following criteria:Matric / N3 and 3 years proven experience in a warehousing team leader or supervisory positionManufacturing industry experience is essentialProven experience with and exposure to automated warehouse management systemsEnglish literacy and the ability to write speak and understand EnglishComputer literacy in the MS office suite with the ability to compile, mail and consolidate documentsKnowledge of Syspro would be advantageousProven ability in overseeing day-to-day production activities in a unionized workplaceA sound understanding of Finances and its impact on the operationGood interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully delegate responsibilities where appropriateA passion for quality and delivery on timeExcellent attention to detailProven ability in maintaining high levels of accuracy when under pressureThe ability to work according to strict deadlines on a continuous basisGood conflict handling skillsMust have a valid drivers license, and own vehicle
