Are you an Electrical Service Technician or have experience in the downstream maintenance, electrical, calibration, carwash, and construction industry? Well then BarW is the place for you!Reporting to the Service Manager you will be an integral part of our team performing electronic and mechanical repairs. Working closely with our customers and applying BarW processes and regulations you will conduct in-house and on-site repairs to our customers' businesses.Our technicians specialize in the Retail/Commercial Gas Stations, Cardlock/Bulk Petroleum sites, Carwashes and Commercial/Industrial Electrical Services for Maintenance and Construction in Western Canada, Yukon & NWT.Why work at BarW?Competitive compensation, annual incentive program and overtime eligibleEmployer paid benefits: health, dental, health care spending account, personal spending account (health and fitness) & moreRRSP programPaid vacationEmployee and family assistance programApprenticeship & education reimbursement programCareer progression with an industry leading team of expertsCompany/Personal safety programEmployee discountsWhat will you be doing?Perform electronic and mechanical repairs including on-site and in-house repairs of equipment and technology as assigned in compliance with current Electrical Industry Codes and Regulations.Installation, repair and preventative maintenance of all fuel dispensing and related equipment.Repair carwash operating equipment at various stations.Maintain customer relationships by managing allocated calls to improve service and decrease costs. This includes planning for adequate tools and equipment necessary for efficient work.Contributing to new ideas for operational and technical improvements to existing equipment and technology.Accountable for completing all required documentation correctly and in a timely manner.Ensure safe practices are being followed in accordance with Health and Safety policies and practices.Are you qualified?High school diploma. Apprentice, Journeyperson or Master Electrician.Experience in one of the following levels of electrical, Apprentice, Journeyperson and or Master, mechanical and or petroleum troubleshooting to perform complicated technological challenges relative to electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs.Willingness and interest to be able to pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance performance.Ability to accurately operate software applications.Ability to read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications. Knowledgeable about computerized machinery and efficient with hand tools.Proven strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Valid Class 5 license.Maintain a strong technical knowledge of assigned equipment through on the job training and training programs.What is the work schedule?Our team focuses on work life balance.Required to work away from home and overnight as needed.When scheduled - available to be on-call 24-hours and 7-days a week for service calls.This is a safety sensitive position.
