We're looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in corporate law. Does that sound like you? Keep reading to learn more!Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000About youTo be successful, you will need:Have a Post-Secondary diploma for Law Clerk or related program3+ years of experience in corporate lawReside in Ottawa and able to work on-site and the client's officeA team player that can liaise with the legal team, supporting staff and external clientsDemonstrate a high level of professionalism in all interactionsStrong written and verbal communication skills through various channels such as email, phone and in-personAbout the roleIf hired, you will:Prepare the requisite documents for incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, dissolutions, corporate reorganizations, and others when neededAdminister Minute Books, including reviewing, reporting, rectifying, updating registers and ledgers, and maintaining records with the Ontario Ministry, Companies Branch, and Corporations CanadaAssist on share or asset sale and purchase transactions, including preparing closing agendas and documents, and aiding the completion and closing of transactions.General file administrationFile, diarize deadlines, and maintain a solid reminder systemOpen and close client files, prepare reports, and organize closing documents.Prepare various accounting documents, including client accounts.Assist with debt and equity finance transactions.Conduct corporate searches (PPSA, Writs of Execution, Bankruptcy, Bank Act, and Litigation) and prepare reports for clientsPrepare and file annual returnsObtain certificates of compliance/statusConduct preliminary name and NUANS searches and draft communication with Corporations Canada when a corporate name is deniedHave questions about the role or unsure if this is the right job for you?
