Keep reading to learn more!About youMust be a member of the Ontario Bar and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario5+ years of proven experience in a law firmExcellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and proceduresIs familiar with the purchase and sale of businesses, franchising and commercial leasingPrior experience in wills and estates is a strong assetAbility to be both a self-starter and a team playerHas excellent technical proficiencyStrong written and oral communication skillsAbout the roleThe successful candidate will:Negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing a variety of corporate and commercial contracts, including but not limited to, commercial leases, asset purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, and franchise agreements (both Franchisor and Franchisee)Working on corporate reorganizations and financing transactions, including private placementsContributing to a collaborative and collegial team environmentCreating strong and long-lasting connections with clientsIf you're uncertain about whether this role aligns with your career aspirations, let's have a conversation!
