Position: Head Volleyball Coach or Volleyball Instructor Reporting to: Camp DirectorDates: July 15 - August 2, and August 12 - 23 (5 Sessions)Times: Full Time (Seasonal Contract) - Monday to Friday 8:45 am - 3:45 pmLocation: Kings Court Etobicoke, 1589 The Queensway #4, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 1V1Compensation: Based on experience and certification levelPosition Overview: The Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the summer camp program including program development, and camper engagement. The Head Coach will work closely with the camp director to ensure that the camp runs smoothly and that all campers have a safe and enjoyable experience. There is a coinciding basketball camp that runs July 2 - Aug 23 and a position to help oversee the camp is available during the three weeks that volleyball camp is not running.Key Responsibilities:Lead Camp programming and help instructors to teach the camp curriculum. Supervise and train staff, including counsellors, and instructors.Ensure that all campers are engaged and having a positive experienceEnsure that all safety protocols are followed and that all equipment is properly maintainedCommunicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress and experience at campMaintain accurate records of attendance, schedules, and program evaluationsCollaborate with the camp director to plan budgets and maintain financial recordsQualifications:3-5 years of experience coaching, working in a summer camp or recreation field Experience supervising and training staffStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at onceExperience working with childrenMust have a passion for working with children First Aid and CPR certification The position is full-time, and the schedule is Monday to Friday during the summer months.Physical Demands:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, and move around the camp-siteEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree or college education in recreation, or a related field is preferred, but not requiredAt least 2 years of experience working in a summer camp or recreation program managementFirst Aid and CPR certification Salary: Commensurate with experienceBenefits:Competitive salaryNike Sports Camp UniformTraining and professional development opportunitiesFun and rewarding working environment.
