Credit Collections Manager

Magnet is helping our client, a leading construction firm within the locker and washroom accessory space, look for a Credit Collections Manager to join their fast growing team and work out of their GTA office. This organization have completed thousands of projects across Canada, including recognizable landmarks such as the Rogers Centre, BMO Field and Ottawa International Airport to name a few.We are currently looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join the team and work out of the Toronto office. The role will report into the Director of Finance and support our offices in Canada and the U.S.Responsibilities:Responsible for monitoring all credit terms extended to customers and working directly with our Project Managers and customers to collect overdue amountsMonitoring and maintaining up-to-date records for all customer accountsManaging weekly collections meetings for each branch locationWorking with our Director of Finance and legal collections firms to escalate problem accounts Standard internal A/R reportingIs this the right role for you?Ability to create & maintain positive relationships with customersAbility to collaborate closely with our Project ManagersProactive & direct telephone communication skills with customersCoordinate collection strategies for complex cases and legal actions as neededA team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to join a dynamic and quickly growing companyKnowledge of the Canadian & American construction industry considered an assetWhat You'll Bring:Experience in a credit and/or collections role with a strong experience in the construction industryAbility to understand and manage all type of deductions (Retainage, holdback etc) & Draw request. Successful completion of post-secondary degreeStrong administrative abilities, including proficiency in managing documents, spreadsheets & databasesStrong telephone communication skillsExperience with an accounting software packageAccuracy and attention to detail Construction Hardware Manufacturing,Building Construction,Manufacturing
