This independent home decor retailer and wholesaler specializes in furnishings and accessories. With a manufacturing arm overseas, a retail showroom, a warehouse, and a dedicated team, they are committed to providing fashionable home products and exceptional service to their customers. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the team and drive business growth across both channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for home decor, strong leadership skills, and a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset to take the business to the next level. The salary range is $70,000-$90,000.DESCRIPTIONDevelop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and increase sales volume in both retail and wholesale channels.Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competition to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.Oversee all aspects of business operations, including retail stores and wholesale operations.Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations across all channels.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales and marketing strategies to increase business volume.Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and identify areas for improvement.Provide strong leadership to a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and ensure the team has the necessary resources to achieve their goals.Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective measures when necessary.Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered across all channels, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.REQUIREMENTSIdeally a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.5+ years of experience in retail management, with a focus on general merchandise and home fashion preferredProven track record of driving business growth and increasing sales volume.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Strong merchandising skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Inventory and warehouse management experience.Experience working with manufacturing operations overseas is a plus.Contact Michelle Doucette at 604.734.5584 x3 or submit your resume in confidence below.
