Senior Manager, Market AccessOttawa, ONOur client, a global biotechnology leader delivering life-saving medicines, is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Access to join their team. The incumbent will develop and implement integrated strategies to engage key stakeholders that may be involved in access of the organization's current and future therapeutic areas. They will also provide direct support to Director of market access in the development and implementation of brands access strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and ensure stakeholder engagement strategy, execution, and efforts are aligned to support product market access goals, therapeutic leadership, and corporate reputation.Accountable for representing the organization to collaborate with public drug programs, government officials, patient organizations, private insurers, and key HCPs to develop and implement activities related to developing and strengthening relations, raising disease awareness, negotiating strategic partnerships and collaborations.Lead the development and building of professional relationships with key stakeholders at a product level, therapeutic leadership level, and a corporate reputation level.Build and maintain an effective network among regional and national patient groups.Identify emerging patient access trend issues and lead the development of a strategic and organized approach for advocating for patient-focused solutions.Support Director of market access with market landscape mapping update.Recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them; influence provincial policy development.Develop specific communication tools and vehicles for the appropriate dissemination of information to the patient community, drug plans, and other stakeholders.Integrate and align with cross-functional brand team to ensure the patient voice, government and other stakeholder considerations are integrated into the brand plan and strategy.Develop and execute annual stakeholder relations plan for therapeutic areas.Communicate affiliate needs, align on strategy and obtain approvals for advocacy initiatives.Oversee the development and management of annual operational budget supporting the organization's stakeholder engagement strategy.QualificationsBachelor's degree required, post graduate qualification in business preferred.5+ years in pharma / biotech industry, including experience in market access & stakeholders management.Experience with biologic products and/or drugs for rare diseases strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience in portfolio management and project management.Success in leading cross-functional teamsAbility to project a strong and persuasive image to senior government officials and commercial executives and build strong relationships.Ability to think quickly and logically and respond effectively to questions and challengesStrong written and spoken communication skills.Strong leadership skills.Financial and analytical skillsStrong knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical reimbursement , pricing issues, policies and trends.Bilingualism (English/French) preferred.Thank you in advance for your interest, only individuals deemed to have the skill set and experience to fit the role will be contacted.Lock Search Group is a National Executive Recruitment firm with 11 offices in Canada and one in the United States, a staff of more than 30 Consultants and Associates, and expertise in 11 major disciplines.
