In this role, you will be reporting to the Manager of Total Rewards. You will act as a subject matter expert in the organization-wide compensation programs. This role you will be responsible for performing detailed analysis of compensation program elements to enhance and optimize program performance and sustainability. The Compensation Specialist will work closely with Human Resources team members to define and implement forward-thinking Total Rewards and Compensation strategies and solutions that align with company values and its business and people strategies.Select duties and responsibilities include:Providing functional and subject matter expertise in support of the design and delivery of the company's Total Rewards strategy while identifying and driving enhancements and efficiencies in systems and processes.Supporting and administering our annual compensation programs including base pay and incentive pay, keeping up to date on current market practices and assessing the competitiveness of our overall compensation structure.Collaborating closely with Finance and the HR Business Partners as a compensation expert to ensure Compensation programs and records are accurately executed and maintained.Administering the job evaluation process, including maintaining job descriptions, and establishing classifications based on the job evaluation system and maintain the organization's job evaluation database.Preparing Total Rewards and Human Resources financial modeling and forecasts for annual budgeting and year-end cycles, as well as program changes or modifications with cost-benefit implications.Qualifications3 to 5 years of experience in Compensation roles;College or university education in Human Resource Management or related field;Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or in progress would be considered an assetCHRP Designation would be considered an assetMust possess strong attention to detail and time management skills to meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment;Ability to communicate effectively with different organizational levels and display a high level of business acumenExcellent knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)Experience with systems implementation projects is an asset.BenefitsFlexible Work Environment: Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to balance your personal and professional commitments effectively.Comprehensive Benefits Package: Access benefits from day one, including personal days off, RRSP matching, and a healthcare spending account, ensuring your well-being is taken care of.Empowering Role: Take on a pivotal role in helping us achieve our goal of attracting and retaining top talent, where your contributions directly impact our success.
