About the Opportunity
Nunumus is looking fora full-time Chief Executive Officer, Economic Developmentbased inBella Coola, BC.
This pivotal role serves as the cornerstone of leadership and management, reporting directly to the Board of Directors, and is accountable for the strategic vision and operational success of the organization.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading the effective implementation of strategic plans and achieving operational goals
Fostering a culture of transparency, efficiency, and innovation
Building and maintaining relationships with business partners, community leaders, and stakeholders
Presenting reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to the Board and other key stakeholders
Overseeing financial health, including budgeting, financial planning, and audit compliance
Mentoring and developing a team to promote a culture of excellence and learning
Championing business development initiatives and exploring growth opportunities
Acting as a liaison and public relations officer in line with Board policies

About You
To qualify, you will needa Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, forestry,or a related field, and ideally holdprofessional certification such as CPA, CFA, or MBA. You will also have5-8+ years of senior leadership experience in finance, accounting, forestry, or related industries. You must alsopossess a driver's licenseand theability to undergo a criminal check.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Demonstrated abilities in business development and strategic planning
Proven expertise in financial management and sustainability
Knowledge of Indigenous, municipal, and community-based business operations
Ability to manage robust but complex financial systems, including funds in trust and background financing deals
Developed experience and ability in managing a large, distributed organization and working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Creativity and energy to develop business and capitalize on emerging opportunities
Capability to lead division managers and maintain strong relations across diverse community and corporate landscapes

Compensation based on skills and experience is a competitive annual salary of$120,000 - $130,000, and a host of excellent benefits including:
