Vice President, National Strategy & Public Affairs (Ottawa) October 23, 2023 We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to fill a Vice President (VP) role to cover a parental leave. We are looking for a dynamic individual to ensure continuity and drive key strategic initiatives during this period.In this role, you would be joining a team that specializes in strategic federal government relations, communications planning, issues management, digital campaigns, government advocacy, public relations and media training.The ideal candidate will have comparable leadership experience in a government, public affairs, or political role. This position is located in Ottawa and is a hybrid in-office/WFH role.What you're good atLeading and managing a driven, dynamic and fast-paced team.Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to set and execute strategic goals and plans.Bringing a thorough understanding of government, politics and the process that drives decision making.Being able to work on multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Cultivating key contacts in relevant government ministries, with elected officials and their staff, and with external stakeholder organizations.Business development, relationship building and presenting.Designing and implementing strategic government relations plans.Fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.Ensuring effective communication and coordination across work streams.Collaborating on budget planning and financial performance.What you bringAgency experience in public affairs or relevant background in government or political office.
