Our Canberra office specialises in providing tailored Advisory services to help a diverse range of Australian Government clients, ranging from peak funding bodies across various Australian Government portfolios to some of Australia’s largest Government departments. Matters can vary from providing strategic advice on governance arrangements, through to actively managing distressed companies, assisting businesses in analysing their financial performance, investigating fraudulent behaviour, providing advice on internal assurance frameworks and undertaking internal audit engagements. • As a Graduate, you will gain an understanding of how the Australian Government works and play a role in solving some of its biggest challenges. On any given day you could be attending meetings with senior government officials, analysing data and reports, or working on innovative ways to communicate key messages and solutions to clients.

• Our Graduate Development Program is expertly designed to provide you with the technical knowledge and professional skills you need to launch your career at McGrathNicol. Over the course of your first 12 months, you will build a deep understanding of the firm and develop strong relationships with your national graduate cohort through a mix of online and in-person sessions, including key intensive 'grad camp' events throughout the year.
• Our Government Advisory Graduates have the option to complete the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program, which is fully supported by McGrathNicol, including subject fees, CA Masterclasses and generous study leave.

• an Australian Citizen at the time of submitting your application;
• in your final year of (or recently graduated with) a bachelor’s or master’s degree with an interest in Government Advisory; and
• available to commence full-time work in February 2025.
