About the role We have a new opportunity for a highly skilled Policy & Frameworks Specialist to join our Finance team at Cbus. The position will play a lead role in supporting the senior Finance leaders in the delivery of robust policies and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable financial data used in regulatory reporting. The Finance Policy & Frameworks Specialist will work closely with the Fund's external administrator, custodian, and other Cbus subject matter experts to develop, interpret, and embed frameworks for regulatory change. A key part of your role will be to interpret regulatory, legislative, and statutory reporting changes and lead the enhancement of existing operational processes by providing leadership and advice to delivery teams. You will provide oversight and challenge to business areas on financial risk management, design, and effective operation of controls, whilst monitoring and designing of internal controls, process improvement and financial policies used to manage financial data and ensure its accuracy. You will provide specialist technical knowledge and guidance on APRA regulatory changes across all levels of Cbus, where internal policy requirements are owned or driven by the Finance team. The ability to work across several internal and external stakeholders, along with a strong attention to detail, will be critical in delivering the required outcomes for this role. To be successful you will be a qualified with CA or CPA status, with minimum 5 years post qualification experience in a chartered, trust/fund, or corporate accounting role. You will have proven experience in leading and managing the development, analysis and review of policies, programs and interpreting legislation and regulations with experience in relation to execution of change and change management/governance is preferable. You will have excellent analytical and interpretive skills in relation to regulatory requirements and accounting standards and be able to translate this with the business.
