OW a controlled 50/50 joint venture between EDPR and Engie is looking for a multitasker and adaptable "Business Development Lead Engineer". GENERAL DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Head of Business Development Brazil and South America, this role coordinates the development of offshore wind projects, focusing on engineering field surveys (wind data, topographic, etc.) and technical studies (grid, ports, supply chain, etc.). The position also collaborates with the technical-economic analysis, regulation studies, and socio-environmental studies interface. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES General activities: · Prospect, develop and formalise business in Brazil and South America. · Coordinate relationships with main stakeholders (regulators, governments, communities, etc.). · Coordinate engineering studies with the OW corporate team, especially with the technical team and third-party suppliers, to ensure the project's design complies with all the requirements. · Guarantee the optimal interface with the project’s socio-environmental studies. · Contribute to technical-economic feasibility analysis of the projects. · Contribute to regulatory studies, public hearings, and other related activities. · Support the liaise with specific key suppliers and promote supply development. Short-term activities: · Coordinate with the OW corporate team to develop engineering studies (grid, ports, feasibility, supply chain, etc.) and associated field surveys (wind data, topographic, etc.). · Coordinate with the OW corporate team to develop regulatory studies and analysis, including participation in public hearings, meetings with regulators, and other related matters. · Collaborate to obtain all the permits required for the development of the projects, managing relationships with administrations, such as SPU, Marinha, IBAMA, ANP, ANATEL, etc. · Collaborate with preparing the work plan for each project and guarantee its implementation. · Guarantee the best interface between engineering and environmental studies. · Support the promotion of agreements with stakeholders and monitor compliance. · Prepare presentations and documents to assist the board in making decisions. Medium-term activities: · Coordinate project development activities with the OW Corporate Team to obtain all documents, such as the environmental licenses, to guarantee competitive participation in a bidding process. · Contribute to the OW Corporate Team negotiating and analysing legal instruments related to project development, partnerships, and implementation. · Contribute to the OW Corporate Team in the negotiation and analysis of technical and commercial proposals related to the development and implementation of the projects. · Contribute to the OW Corporate Team by structuring the company's participation in bidding processes, collaborating on technical-economic feasibility analyses, and acting with internal and external stakeholders to obtain the premises to promote a final investment decision. ACADEMIC BACKGROUND Engineering Degree. LANGUAGES · Native in Portuguese. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. · Spanish will be highly valued. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE · 7 years of experience developing business energy projects in Brazil (offshore wind is a plus). · Experience in project development (engineering and field surveys) in renewable energy. · Experience in project permitting and construction in the renewable energy sector is a plus. · Experience working in international environments. · Experience with external stakeholder management. KNOWLEDGE · Experience in institutional dealing with Brazilian administrations. · A holistic view of the Brazilian Energy Industry. SKILLS · Excellent social, interpersonal, public speaking and negotiation skills. · Extreme proactivity. · Results-driven profile. · Strong capacity to synthesise and prioritise.
