Senior Advisor Regular Giving Wellington - Permanent Full-Time. About the role – Kōrero mō te tūranga The Individual Giving team is responsible for ongoing development and delivery of the following portfolio of fundraising programmes and products:
  • A full portfolio of direct marketing activities.
  • One of New Zealand’s most effective and largest regular giving programmes.
  • An emerging portfolio of planned giving products and services (major gifts and bequests).
The Senior Advisor Regular Giving takes responsibility for the effective delivery of a large regular giving programme within the Philanthropy Directorate. In line with the Directorate Business Plan, this role will lead the implementation of operational work plans that will ensure that the regular giving products provided by New Zealand Red Cross are effective and that donors are recruited, engaged and retained resulting in the delivery of agreed performance targets. In this role you will:
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of regular giving products that are attractive to and meet the needs of donors;
  • Manage the operational relationship between New Zealand Red Cross and specialist 3rd party regular giving service providers;
  • Identification and promotion of best practice regular giving fundraising to meet key objectives and targets;
  • Develop and deliver effective regular giving training to both Red Cross people and 3rd party service providers;
  • Through effective communications build strong working relationships with Red Cross people particularly branches and members;
  • Undertake performance analysis activities to ensure that the regular giving portfolio is meeting agreed performance targets and is accurately forecasting future growth. Produce reporting as required that reflects activity and performance;
  • Support the wider Individual Giving team to undertake donor stewardship and solutions to a high level;
  • Keep the Manager Individual Giving abreast of key tasks, including potential and emerging risks and issues.
Who are we looking for? – Mā‎ wai te mahi nei? To be successful you will have:
  • A proven record of managing successful fundraising products and programmes;
  • Experience working within individual giving programmes;
  • Experience managing 3rd party service providers;
  • A degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience is preferred;
  • A good understanding and knowledge of the principles of fundraising within the charitable sector;
  • Strong interpersonal skills including an ability to positively engage and build relationships across a broad range of people;
  • Excellent staff management and team development skills;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Well developed analytical skills and proven ability to use relevant software applications i.e. Microsoft Excel;
  • A proven ability to effectively manage 3rd party relationships;
  • Engaging presentation skills;
  • Impeccable personal presentation, time management and accuracy and timeliness in the management of records.
