Lead Gym Attendant assistthe Community Services Supervisor with the training and supervisionof gym attendant and equipment checkout attendant. Ensure thatequipment is checked constantly for safe operation and taggedvisibly clear with a notice when it is unsafe or unserviceable.Ensure that clean towels are on hand and in sufficient quantitiesand readily available to support gym patrons. The Attendantmaintain a sufficient supply of cleaning and disinfectant solutiondaily. Additionally, they provide courteous, friendly andprofessional assistance to. Furthermore, they perform additionalrecreational duties as prescribed by the Community ServicesSupervisor.This position generally ensures the facilities remainclean and that they promote a friendly atmosphere, by assistingpatrons with their questions/equipment needs. Attendants areresponsible for maintaining the highest possible standard ofservice. Major Job Activities • Assist Community ServicesSupervisor with implementation of quality, safety, environmentaland other administrative affairs. • Provide oversight ofgovernment furnished property. • Monitor and ensureaccurate accountability of all gym machine and equipment.• Conduct daily inventory of GFE. • Ensure properuse of disinfectant solutions to ensure equipment is free ofbacteria between use by patrons (particularly seats, handles,steps, and pedals). • Ensure that equipment is checkedconstantly for safe operation and tagged visibly clear with anotice when it is unsafe or unserviceable. • Ensure thatclean towels are on hand and in sufficient quantities and readilyavailable to support gym patrons. • Ensure that no towelor personal equipment is issued without being shown of an approvedGym Membership Card. Ensure attendants will write down thecustomer's information on the sign-out sheet and have thecustomers sign the sheet upon sign-out and sign-in of equipmentand/or towels. • Monitor and Maintain sufficient supply ofcleaning and disinfecting solution daily to keep equipment cleanand free of bacteria. Inform and submit order request for cleaningmaterials and disinfectant solution to the supervisor •Ensures that at least one attendant is present at the counter atall times during gym operations. • Ensure standards ofappearance, cleaning and maintenance policies and plans areestablished and implemented to include outside areas within 50 feetaround facilities. • Responsible for monitoring thequality and quantity of the equipment and services. •Perform actual inventory of equipment every shift .Make sure thatall equipment are clean and disinfected prior to sign out. Monitor& update all personal equipment for sign-out. •Monitor the equipment or items that are signed-out at the CheckoutCounter. • Monitor daily cleaning and policing of allareas. • Check and monitor alignment, sanitation, andcondition of Cardiovascular Machines & Weight Equipment.• Ensure all water coolers have sufficient supply ofbottled water. • Make sure that every area has enoughdisinfectant bottles and maxi rolls. • Report immediatelyto supervisor any incident/accident and Unreturned/Missing/Damagedor lost items. • Responsible for the gym cleanliness -wipe mirrors, check the trash bin can if full. • Removedust and debris underneath the machines. • Checking ofChemical Cabinet Inventory to make sure that there is no othermaterial inside. • Encode sign-out/in checklist daily pershift. Monthly filing of all checklists. Monitoring of allchecklist .Weekly update the First Aid kit and daily checking ofAED. Daily monitoring and checking of First Aid materials in allareas. • Enforce the Policy at all times. Providecourteous, friendly and professional assistance to patrons.• Perform additional recreational duties as prescribed bythe Community Services Supervisor. • Customer/PublicRelations. Addressing concerns/suggestions. • Performsother duties and assignments as required.
